The Job

Campspot is hiring a Customer Service Representative. This individual will primarily be responsible for assisting campers who are interacting with our online marketplace, Visitors to this site are able to browse hundreds of different campgrounds on the system with built in tools to search and filter by distance, amenities, nightly rates, site types, and more, all with high resolution photos to show off what each park has to offer. While the online booking process is very user friendly, some guests prefer to view the content and then contact our team to make their booking by phone, and we love to hear from them! The right candidate for this role should be friendly, service-oriented, and knowledgeable about the parks using our service, so that they can make informed suggestions to the guest.


Secondary responsibility would be be to assist system users with inbound call/email questions of entry-level technical nature and various account setup and support related tasks. You will be required to master the ‘ins and outs’ of the Campspot software and will be expected to courteously share this expertise with campground management and staff at their request by phone, email, and remote desktop demonstration. High level technical ability/experience is not needed, but welcomed. Campspot is a web-based application, allowing us to assist users in real-time.


Camping is a service industry with many of our partnering parks conducting the majority of their business outside of normal business hours, and on weekends. Candidates should be available for a schedule to include evening hours and weekends.


This is a full time, salaried position, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While the business team currently elects to work remotely as a precautionary measure due to Covid 19, "normal conditions" would consist of working from the Campspot office in Grand Rapids during weekdays, and remotely on weekends.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in customer service or related role with special preference to inbound phone customer service
  • Experience working with Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Experience working in the recreation/hospitality/tourism industry and/or any service/activity requiring advance booking or reservation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Office Suite
